About This Blog

Wouldn't it be great if life really was all sunshine and happiness?  No one would be sick, no one would have debt, magical fairies would come nightly to clean and especially do the laundry! But life isn't like that, life is full of surprises, ups and downs and sometimes, ok well most times, it's just comical.

I wanted to start this blog to get real. Real about family, home, money and just life in general. I want mostly just to get real about my life, come to terms with the fact that it's not always rainbows. To wake up and smell the dirty diapers! This is me Taken it day by day and getting my families life back on track and taking it day by day!

About Us

Me~The Procrastinator
I have a major problem with letting things go and not following through. I am currently working on this and will continue working on it during 2012. I try harder with things that have to be done for my kids but even then I normally wait until the last minute.  The worst is the house. I can let the laundry and dishes sit forever.  My philosophy is that it will be there tomorrow too!
I'm a 29 year old stay at home mommy and I love it. OK to be completely honest I love it most of the time. My kids are the world to me but being a stay at home mom with no one else to talk to can feel a little bit like a jail.

A few of my favorite things are WINE, WINE, and oh yeah some  more WINE! Alright I do also love taking pictures, mostly of the kids, and we love to travel. Anywhere, anytime!

Dear Husband~The Handyman

Handyman and I have been married now for 9 years (wow I really do feel old when you put a number on it) and we've been together for 12 years (yep feel even older).  He is my highschool sweetheart, bestfriend and everything in between. He loves to agravate me, and I take the bait everytime!  We have 3 beautiful kids together and somedays whether I like or not (mostly I like it) we are stuck together forever, til death parts us. Now whos death is still debatable.

And he is literally my handyman. He can fix anything and everything. He also builds us the most gorgeous furniture. The problem is everyone else thinks so to and I get put to the bottom of the waiting list for things that I want made.

The Kids

The Twins~The history..

We had a hard time conceiving and went through about a year and half on and off with different fertility treatments. We had one miscarrage early on and then...

In 2008 we got pregnant in March. In April we found out we were having triplets (EDD November 23). In May I was taken off of work due to high blood pressure and put on moderated bedrest.

In July a lot happened. 1st we found out we were going to have 2 girls and 1 boy! Baby A was a girl, Baby B was a boy and Baby C was a girl. 2nd. Due to a incompetant cervix I had to have surgery to have a cerclage placed (So lucky they found this out right away). 3rd. They decided the day after my surgery that I was still to much of a risk and placed me on hospital bed rest, at 20 weeks! 4th. I was told Baby A was not doing good and that she had lost her fluid, her lungs were not developing and that to be prepared for her to pass inutero. I know right? What else could possibly go wrong... 5th. I developed gestational diabeties. and lastly... 6th. I developed a mild case of Bell's Palsey. Told you July was busy!

August was a pretty good month. Baby A was still hanging on and my husband and I still had hope that she would make it. My doctors  goal was to get me to 30 weeks, my goal was 32. Guess who won...The docs. I went into preterm labor on Sept 9th, 10 weeks and 6 days before their dute date. The triplets were born, respectfully, at 9:46, 9:47 and 9:48am. They were all quickly rushed to another room. Unfortunately Baby A passed away shortly at birth. She will always be our personal angel and I know she hung on as long as she did to protect her brother and sister from coming any earlier.

Baby B~The Bookworm~

Our son had some problems after being born. Everything was going good and about a week after they were born he contracted a nasty bacterial infection called Flavobacteruim. This is NOT a "normal" bacteria found in the NICU. It is some weird bacteria that is normally found in freshwater fish! We have NO IDEA how he got it but after a little bit it turned into Meningitis. He was a VERY sick little man.  He stayed in the hospital for about 10 weeks and had to have a VP shunt placed (a tube that runs from the ventricules in he head to his abdoman to help drain the fluid) before he was aloud to come home and even then he had to come home on oxygen and a monitor.

After failing 3 newborn hearing exams and multple times trying to get and ABR( Auditory Brainstem Response ) testing done we is diagnosed with Sensorineural hearing loss. He wears bilateral hearing aids now. He has also had some problems with his left eye and has surgeries to remove his lens and a muscle correction.

Bookworm is now 3 years old and doing great. He goes to therapy twice a week for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy. He also has Pt, Ot and Speeth therapist come to our home once  month to do additional therapy. In Febuary 2011 he started having some issues with fluid in his ears and even with his hearing aids could not hear anything. We waited to see if he would natural be able to drain this fluid but in October 2011 we had tubes placed and he has been making leaps and bounds with his speech.
He started walking now by himself in June 2011 and after having those tubes placed has a lot more success with his balance.

*Wanted to get this posted but didn't have it finished yet. I will finish this soon!*
